Pastor's Note

The Shack,

I am not refering to the electronic chain store, but the book by William P. Young. If you have not already read the book, do yourself a favor and read it. I will not disclose the story, but I will disclose the affect.

Few things have I read have really challenged me to view The Trinity in other format than the institutional view. God with the flowing white hair and beard, the traditional picutre of Christ we see and the "mystical" Holy Spirit.

The author immediately wisk these standardized respresentations away (once the story line is set) and by doing so allows the reader to get fully engulfed in the message of Jesus and the importance of our relationship with God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit.

Regardless where you stand spiritually, many things can be learned about our relationship with God and life thru Young's portrayal of the Trinity and our own blindness to the reality there of.
